Crash reports and usage data (optional)

On first launch, Tailwind Launcher asks whether it can send crash reports and basic usage data through Firebase, a Google service, to help find and fix problems. Both are off until you say yes, and you can turn either on or off at any time in Settings → About → Privacy.

If enabled, this may include:

• Crash reports and stack traces when the app crashes, freezes, or hits an unexpected error
• Basic device and app info: device model, Android version, app version, screen size, and language
• Anonymous session and installation identifiers, not tied to your name, email, or Google account
• Coarse location derived from IP address (country-level only)

It never includes:

• Which apps you have installed, opened, or searched for
• The contents of your contacts, calendar, or messages
• Anything you type into search
• Your wallpaper or precise location

This data is processed by Google (Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics) under Google's Privacy Policy.

Data that stays on your device

Tailwind Launcher's search ranks results using data that never leaves your device: contacts you've reached out to recently, apps you've searched for or launched recently, and your recent search history.

Contacts and Calendar are optional search sources, off until you turn them on, and are only queried locally to show search results. None of this — including which contacts you've reached out to — is ever sent anywhere, backed up to the cloud, or included when you export your configuration. You can clear it at any time in Settings → About → Privacy.

Exporting your configuration

The Export configuration feature saves your home screen layout and settings to a file you choose to save and share. It does not include your search or contact ranking data, search history, or your crash/usage reporting choice, so it's safe to share or move to another device without carrying that along.
